Yoga
We offer private and community yoga sessions in our forest view yoga studio on S’DÁYES, Pender Island. Our weekly schedule includes Hatha and Vinyasa (Flow), Yin, and Restorative yoga. If you would like to book a private session for yourself or a small group, use the calendar view to see Mia's next opening. Counselling
Counselling services currently offered online and in-person on Pender Island. Andrew integrates creative, experiential, systemic, and person-centred approaches such as Nature-based Therapy, Art & Play Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Satir model. Our adapted modality, Neuroscience & Satir in Nature-based Therapy (NSNT) involves:
Bodyful practices to soothe the nervous system and ground in time and place
Space for feelings, perceptions, and yearnings within a safe and accepting relationship
Exploration and expression of the grief-gratitude continuum
Intentional time and invitations to engage with natural settings
Activities that foster a reciprocal relationship with the more-than-human world
Outdoor play, art creation, and other creative expression
Forest Bathing
Shinrin-yoku, or forest bathing, is the practice of simply engaging our senses and slowing our bodies down to the pace of the forest.
This embodied experience of being brings us into greater awareness of our wholeness and connectedness.
